RED WINES

Red wine is the wine par excellence, the original one. In  ancient times people didn't know about production techniques with separation of skins from the pulp, therefore the only wine that could be produced was red.

The earliest evidences of wine production date back to the cradle of civilization, Mesopotamia, and then Egypt, Greece and the Roman Empire, where the cultivation of grapes became quite widespread. Nowadays the innovation of cultivation, production and preservation techniques have developed significantly and allowed the production of different tipes of grapes and wines.

According to a Siena University study, a moderate consumption of red wine has good effects on health, particularly on circulatory apparatus and on digestive system.

Make Italy offers a wide selection of first-rate red wines, from Primitivo di Maduria, rich and intense, to Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, full and dry, from Brunello di Montalcino, round and harmonious, to Taurasi from Campania, well-balanced and persistent.
